I have been here many times and every single time I get reaffirmed that they serve the best scrambled eggs in the world. The macaroni and ham soup that's part of the set is just okay but make sure to order the dishes with sandwiches with scrambled eggs. Great milk tea (even though I do recommend asking for less ice) and French toast. Expect the place to be super chaotic, rushy and if you come alone or in 2, you might be seated with somebody else (just normal HK style). The sets are around 50 HKD but once in a while it is really worth it to visit. Just a heads up, they don't take Visa, only cash, and maybe Octopus (about Alipay, I'm not sure).
Good place to try a typical HK style breakfast. Long queue but moves super fast, sharing table with other customers is normal. Attentive staff despite their stoic expression, there’s English menu as well for those struggling with the Chinese one. It felt like our food came out in under 3 minutes which impressed us. Top things to order are the macaroni soup, toast and scrambled eggs with what we suspect would be an unhealthy amount of butter used to achieve this flavour. Must try the pudding, very refreshing!
For sure the macaroni soup was interesting. I love the toast though, super delicious and of course sunny side up eggs cant go wrong. Steamed milk pudding and hot milk tea (strong) was yummy too. For sure a unique experience at this breakfast place. We got out less than half hour and only waited in line for like 10 mins. Super fast paced and tight space (expected this type of service in Hong Kong)
In the morning, we had breakfast in Australia Dairy Co. We were intriqued, what's the fuss about this restaurant. Turned out it lives up to its name and really worth the hype. We queued for a bit, but it's not long until we got inside. We got out own personal nook. Just the two of us. Although it's rather crammed, but for us it's way better than joining table with other customers. We ordered: The fluffy omellete was melt in our mouth and creamy. The french toast was buttery and sinfully delicious! The milk pudding was soft and jiggly, a little bit sweet. The ice milk tea was divine! The service was quick and efficient. A recommended breakfast place in HK.
This place was organized chaos and I loved it - there’s a long line in front of the restaurant and you wait to get seated with strangers. At our square table of 4, my husband and I got to share a triangular half of the table while two other parties of 1 shared the other side of the table. Talk about maximizing space! We went early in the day and had to wait about 10-15 mins; groups of 1-2 people got through much quicker than bigger ones. So id recommend splitting up. I also loved all the food - egg pudding, egg sandwich, French toast, and milk tea. It was my favorite restaurant in Hong Kong.

The place is buzzing with energy: people constantly coming and going, servers weaving between tables delivering food and clearing plates. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience. This is quintessential Hong Kong cafe culture at its finest - fast paced, lively, and full of character. If you want a true taste of authentic HK breakfast culture, this is a must visit cha chaan teng. Note before you go: like many local spots, it’s cash only.
This place is mentioned by every travel blogger and every YouTuber for a reason. There are many tourists, and there are also many local people who pop in for a quick bite. Depending on the time you enter, there is a small breakfast and a small lunch menu as well. I had the simple morning menu which consisted of macaroni soup, scrambled eggs and toast and a Hong Kong styled milk tea for $48 for an additional two dollars you can get your tea or coffee iced as well. I will definitely say that this place is worth the hype. I would definitely line up here again. I also enjoyed finally being able to sit in and share tables with the locals.
